Product guide / Directories

find the ones that actually match

Search that tells you why it matched.

Directories of investors, startups, angels, and accelerators — searched by meaning and by attribute at the same time, then ranked with the reasons for each match written out.

An operator comparing candidates against a shortlist

Where this helps

Every directory returns names. Almost none return a reason, so the shortlist ends up defended on instinct and the best-fit name sits three pages down.

The question it puts in front of you

Who actually fits, and can we say why?

Where judgment belongs

You judge fit and decide who is worth pursuing. A score orders the list; it does not shorten your thinking.

What gets prepared for you

Several searches run at once — meaning, wording, structured attributes — and their rankings are combined, then scored with the reasons that produced the score.

Relationships

How a shortlist gets built.

01

Search investors, startups, angels, and accelerators from one place.

02

Get a score out of 100 with the reasons behind it, not just a rank.

03

Ask for look-alikes of a company or a firm you already like.

04

Move a promising name straight into Pipeline or a target List.

Directories in the real world

Find me more like this one.

Several searches run in parallel — one on meaning, one on wording, one on structured attributes like stage, sector, and geography — and their rankings get combined, so a name several methods agree on outranks a single strong hit. A look-alike search works the same way, starting from a company or firm you name instead of from a query.

What comes back carries its reasoning: a score out of 100 and the labelled reasons that produced it — stage focus matching, sectors overlapping, geography shared, thesis fitting. You can disagree with any one reason, which is rather the point. A shortlist you can argue with is one you can defend.

What holds up

What it does well, and what it was never meant to do.

Constraints are a design position, not an apology. Everything on the left ships today; everything on the right we decided against.

What you can rely on in Directories

  • Directories for investors, startups, angels, and accelerators.
  • Search by meaning and by attribute at once, with the rankings combined.
  • Look-alike search starting from a company or firm rather than a query.
  • Every match carries a score and the reasons behind it.

What we chose not to build

  • Directory data comes from third parties. It is not universally verified or always current.
  • A score orders a list. It does not decide who to contact.
  • Look-alikes work from what has been enriched — a thin profile gives thin neighbours.
  • This is not a marketplace, and nobody is notified because you searched.
